today was a rainy day in vegas.

those are pretty hard to come by in this dry desert.

but for some reason the rain is rather magical here.

i just love it.

makes me wish i was with a cute boy.

too bad he's in texas. 

but a day with my mom worked out to be just as wonderful.

nothing is better than movies by the fireplace and snuggles with the kitten.

finishing the night with her famous corn chowder, and a Skype date.

does it get any better?

as the semester comes to a close,

the holidays are drawing near!

so im feeling a bit melancholy.

sad to be leaving my new friends behind,

but excited for christmas with my family.

saturday we went to the hot springs, that sure was an adventure.

they were not what I was expecting, they were just an indoor pool heated by the volcanic activity.

really cool idea! and we had a blast. 

this week is going by so fast & finals scare me.

today was dylan's birthday. and as my mom requested, i have a few photos to share. happy birthday, dylan! i made him a red bull (yess... the energy drink) cake, since he seems to have a bit of an obsession. this weekend was a fun one, lots of hanging out with friends, and a fun date to thai food.

does it get better than that? went and saw pitch perfect, yet again. seriously laughed just as hard. 

love that movie. had a fun night listening to lana del ray with dylan while looking at christmas lights in rexburg (the select few we could find). its weird to think that the semester is almost over.. i cant wait to see my family for the holidays. i think i have a case of holiday cheer.... embracing it!
