\\ Child at Heart // DIY

So I have a cute DIY for anyone who is in the summer mode! Summer screams, cool smoothies, snowcones, water balloon fights, and of course side walk chalk. So I decided to take my own recipe to make some side walk paint instead! It worked out wonderfully, and comes off after a couple days! Perfect. We had a blast painting and making all different colors!


Recipe:
1 c. cornstarch
1 c. water
Food coloring as wanted

Mix the cornstarch and water together, make sure to blend really well! Pour aa little liquid into each of the muffin holders in a muffin pan. After add food coloring to make whatever colors you want! It was fun letting the little ones experiment and make their own colors!

**Newsprint Nails**

So I love the whole new trend of artistic nails! It's so fun working cash register at Bread & Butter and seeing so many ladies with so many fun ideas! Well my current obsession is the Newsprint nails... Here's how it goes!

Needed:
White polish
Newspaper
Clear polish
Rubbing alcohol

1. Paint your nails with white polish ( or any color really) and let them dry COMPLETELY!
2. Cut pieces of newspaper , small pieces.
3. Dip one dried nail into a small bowl of rubbing alcohol and while still wet, press the newspaper rightside down on your nail. Press hard, hold for two seconds, then release.
4. If you would like to add more newsprint then just press again, do not re-dip.
5. Paint top coat.

P.S. keep in mind that words will appear backwards on your nails! They are still WAY TOO CUTE! Adorable!

Canada turned out to be a complete success! i loved every second of it! as you can see, since i haven't stopped talking about it! hahah so sad! but here is a bit of a glimpse of my vacation... which was once again, fantabulous.

1. I got to see so many family members that i never get to see! it was great catching up! here is my favorite photo of all time. My dad (fierce) and Uncle Brad (funky)

 2. My cousin-in-law Rob (yes, he stole my name) took us out to go river rafting it was so fun. The water was near death cold, when i floated down the river i thought i was for sure dead. After we met up with the others, Me (middle), Ivy (right), and Sophie (left) became best friends.

Try and tell me he isn't the cutest cotton candy man!

 3. Visiting Grandpa Litchfield, who is 93 years old, is always super fun. It is sometimes hard to make him giggle. But it was not hard when i put on his muskrat hat, he was smiling away. Sweet moment captured. 




4. At the Stampede (Canada Day Week-Long Festival)we made time ego stop for a quick photo shoot while looking cowgirl-ish, and line- dancing our way through the many stands, and fun rides! Definitely a fun experience. Trying all sorts of goodies; 
pretzel corn dog, deep fried kool-aid, funnel cake, and spuds with gravy. YUMMY!

5. Miss Jane and I had a lot of fun squirting the local bunnies with a squirt gun - Dad's idea!

 SHADOWS...CREEPING THROUGH THE WINDOW. A FAINT LIGHT SEEPING THROUGH. TRANSFORMING A SIGHT COMPLETELY. A MOMENT CAPTURED. SHADOWS STIMULATE CHANGE. 
TODAY AFTER COMING HOME FROM AN AWFUL DAY AT WORK, I FOUND MYSELF CAPTIVATED BY THE SHADOWS DANCING IN MY 
ROOM. I WAS REALLY HAPPY WHEN I GRABBED MY CAMERA TO 

CAPTURE THE FUN ME AND MOCH (CUTEST CAT EVER.) HAD WHILE PLAYING IN THE SHADOWS. I WAS SERIOUSLY PLEASED WITH MY RESULTS. I DEFINITELY HAD THE REALIZATION THAT THERE IS SERIOUSLY HAPPINESS EVERYWHERE, JUST WAITING TO SPARK A SMILE. AND ALTHOUGH PEOPLE MAY SAY "YOU LAUGH TOO MUCH, AND TOO LOUD" **COUGH COUGH. MOM ** I THINK THAT LAUGHTER IS THE BEST FORM OF COMMUNICATION. ID ALSO LIKE TO NOTE THE CUTE SCARF I HAVE ON IN THE FIRST PHOTO! A SCARF THRIFTED FROM A STORE 


CALLED PRETTY LITTLE THINGS IN CALGARY, ALBERTA. $12 AND THE LACE BLACK SCARF IN THE LAST FROM THE SAME PLACE $8. 
I GOT A TON OF REALLY CUTE THINGS AT THAT STORE, AND I WISH I HAD ONE IN LAS VEGAS, OR EVEN IN REXBURG WOULD BE NICE!BUT, NO! ANYWAYS.. SO I GOT MY CUTE NEW "PARIS" SCARFS, SO THAT I DONT LOOK TOO MUCH LIKE A TOURIST WHILE VISITING! I DOUBT IT WILL WORK, BUT EVEN IF I FAIL, ILL LOOK LIKE A FASHIONABLE AMERICAN, RIGHT? WELL ENJOY!
