sunday fun-day.

well today has been an emotional roller coaster. went from crying while bearing my testimony, to laughing at the fact that my 23 yr. old brother still falls asleep in sacrament, to being a nervous nelly while packing (still.), to laughing as i watched jill and tate acting like ninjas. today has been one of those days that will always be crystal clear in my memory. i can't believe its my last day home, but i am so excited to go to school. here are just a little bit of the wonderful pictures we took today. on both my instax mini and my one600 polaroid cameras. ( i finally got some decent film for the latter!)
here ya go! enjoy!

gotta love the little things in life, right?

little buggers.

so this week has been insane, doing absolutely every that is possible.  working, babysitting the cutest boys ever, and having family in town, swimming, and PACKING PACKING PACKING! it has been so hectic, hence the lack of posts and commenting! sorry about that! but here are some lovely photos of my two favorite boys in the world. (besides my dad and brothers, of course) but here ya go! so precious.
i cant seem to grasp the fact that today is the last day before i head up to school. i am so nervous and scared and excited at the same time. i feel bipolar. today is the last day with my dad before i head off and it freaks me out. i love him so much, gonna miss him making fun of me and making me laugh. i guess that is what texting and facetime is for? ah! crazy.
wish me luck!

DIY pallet wall.

So I am helping to design my boss's new restaurant Meat & Three. It's a work in progress, but it's coming along. Today we decided we were going with the idea of a pallet wall. With all different lyrics from various well known bands. So we started by finding the pallets (behind Walmart) and then I bought some Early American Stain Finish and painted the pallets to make them darker and more expensive looking. Then we used a matte paint to sponge on the lyrics. It is super easy, but very time consuming. Here are the photos of the ones I did today! Can't wait til they are done! Too bad I won't be there to finish the project! College is better anyways :)

P.S. give it a go! And also it would be cute as a bed headboard, or even a bookcase, shelf, desk, anything really! Experiment, and tell me what you did!!!

Rush.

Everything seems to be in a rush right now. I am either packing (getting ready to head to BYU-I eep! ) or working (only two days left!) or babysitting. It's crazy how time is not on my side. It was fun having a semi-break while swimming with Eli today! I guess that is good enough for me. Sorry I have been flakey on the posts and such, I just can't seem to find time to pull out my camera! Here is my shot of the one relaxing moment today... Ahhh. Relief. Now back to stressing over fitting ally my college "necessities" into a VW Bug.... Oh goodness.

Painting pallets and designing all day tomorrow for my boss's new restaurant. Should be fun, yet completely chaotic. Story of my life .
Keep Smiling!

sun(daze)

i love love love sundays in the litchfield home. not only beacause of the German pancakes and big dinner meals, but also the movie nights and moments that i cherish the most. watching mom cook in her apron, watching dad at the grill, there is something of a sense of belonging in a sunday at home. i love them... period. that is it. heres a glimpse of my sun(daze.)what do you do on sundays?

P.S. isn't the fourth photo just lovely? it warms my heart... i love it. a lot.

diy friday.

so i have a super wonderful diy for all you faithful followers! it is the bleaching tee-shirt DIY. it is super easy way to spice up your wardrobe, turning plain tees into graphic styles. here are the two that i created.

so i made the first one using a navy colored plain swoop-neck tee. i used a thicker ((cheap)) paint brush and applied the bleach plentiful as circle polka dots on the shirt. i also kind of flicked the brush to splatter the dots a bit. I AM IN LOVE with these shirts!

the second was just an experiment test run, but it turned out lovely. i just free handed it. for the record, the longer the bleach sits wet, the more white the bleached area will be. when bleaching a black shirt, remember to go over the writing at least two times in order for it to actually turn out white.

do you have any cute ideas for bleached tees?? if so, do share :)
